The box of four arrived and I set it on a bench in the laundry room. Everyone who walked in asked for a bag so the box was empty in a few days. I think there are a lot of closet oatmeal-eaters in the world. Good thing I got this on subscribe and save.I took one bag to work where I make a bowl of oatmeal every morning using my Keurig coffee maker. I dump the oatmeal in the bowl, fill it with the hot water, and let it sit for about five minutes. I sweeten it slightly with honey and have a great tasting, filling, nutritious breakfast with virtually no effort. However, I much prefer the texture of Coach's Oats (cheaper at Costco). It has a chewiness totally lacking in Bob's Oats. I also highly recommend Bob's Muesli that I am adding to these oats until I use them up.We weren't really a big oatmeal house, but as a breastfeeding mother I was willing to try anything that would help my supply. After trying this oatmeal we have all been converted. It has a nice nutty taste and a much better texture than the Quaker stuff (and the only way I could eat that is if I got one of the super sugary flavored kinds). Now we all eat oatmeal for breakfast multiple times a week. They are so easy to make and require nothing more than hot water (and maybe a little milk, cinnamon, or brown sugar).I would recommend making them with hot water rather than microwaving. Nearly every time I microwave these I end up boiling over unless I stand over the microwave while it cooks. (I know... use a bigger bowl... I'm just not not willing to purchase new giant bowls specifically for microwaving oatmeal) Just mix the hot water and oatmeal and let it sit for 5 min or so.I compared Quaker Quick Oats to Bob's Red Mill Oats/quick and the fact is Bob's Red Mill is just better. Better because theoats hydrate when cooked and become like fat little jelly ball tapioca like berries. After it's cooked I put it into a bowl while it's hot and add about 2 tsp. brown sugar and a 1/2 cup coconut milk. If I have cranberries and nuts I add a tablespoon of each of those.O' try vanilla coconut milk on Bob's oatmeal, it's like a desert. Poach some canned, drained peaches with some brown sugar in a little butter and pour over this oatmeal...see where I am going with this? If you like the oatmeal, you will find more ways to get it into your diet and it's really good for you! I have high cholesterol so I need oats to help me carve the numbers. Me and Bob's Red Mill. Love it!!!wow --I thought all oatmeal was the same - that is definitely not the case with this brand. I grew up on oatmeal - it got us through the long cold winters in the midwest. Living in Phoenix now so it's definitely not as cold but I've been craving the taste and wanted to take advantage of it's nutritional value. I will definitely be repurchasing in the future. I make it in the microwave and leave it in for less time than recommended else it seems to overflow the bowl and make a mess. Everyone's microwave is different so you will have to experiment. We really liked the taste of this oatmeal. Unfortunately, after we had purchased a case, we learned that there was weed killer in many oatmeals including this brand. Unfortunate because it’s an easy filling breakfast.excellent oatmeal. I was skeptical about this being any different than the major brands you see in the store, but was pleasantly surprised when trying it. Even with no additives, this oatmeal has a creamier consistency and taste than the other brands I have tried. Add some cinnamon and diced fruit into and you're in breakfast heavenOh, and the price is really great too, especially on subscribe and save. Much cheaper per ouce when compared with the grocery storeVery good, eat everyday. Like this better than the store brand. Cooks well in the microwave, very easy breakfast and healthy. Very easy for anyone to make. Good with fruit. Or could use for cookies. Will purchase this product again.Bob's Red Mill is my go-to for buying oats in bulk. Good quality and price, great taste.
